O'Brien is the only remaining member of the squad who suffered the pain of our relegation to the National League.
His excellent efforts following his January 2019 arrival from Bradford City weren't enough to halt our slide but he had nevertheless enamoured himself to supporters with his committed, all-action displays.
O'Brien has gone on to be a consistent driving force in our midfield and produced some of his finest performances for the club in our 2022-23 promotion season, earning himself a one-year contract and a return to the EFL.
O'Brien came through the ranks at Celtic and had spells with Dunfermline Athletic, Dundee United and Motherwell before moving south of the border with Barnsley.
He spent four seasons at Oakwell ahead of a switch to Coventry, where he made 70 appearances, and has also played for Shrewsbury and Ross County.
